Brake fluid is an essential and increasingly important aspect of vehicles. At the same time, driving assistance systems such as ABS and ESP are becoming increasingly complex and critical. This makes the task of brake fluid more important than ever. JLM DOT 4 LV aftermarket brake fluid and clutch fluid meet the highest quality requirements set by the automotive industry for products.

Product information

Because of the ingredients that make up brake fluid, the fluid attracts water, which could cause the fluid to boil during braking. This causes air bubbles in the braking system and reduces the braking effect drastically. Brake fluid has had a boiling point of approximately 230 degrees Celsius for many years. However, automotive manufacturers are increasingly switching to brake fluid with a safer boiling point of 260 degrees.

This also applies to JLM DOT 4 (Low Viscosity) LV. JLM DOT 4 LV is a high-quality aftermarket fluid for brake and clutch systems that exceeds the latest ISO 4925 Class 6 Standard specifications. JLM DOT 4 LV also complies with the current international specifications U.S. FMVSS No. 116 DOT 3, DOT 4 SAE J 1703, SAE J1704 and ISO 4925 (Classes 3 & 4). JLM DOT 4 LV can be mixed with other brake fluids that meet these specifications.

Thanks to its excessively low viscosity at low temperatures far below freezing, JLM DOT 4 LV is ideal for all vehicles with advanced driver assistance systems such as ABS and ESP. The low viscosity ensures that the response time of the brake pedal to the brake system is noticeably shorter at low temperatures.

HOW TO USE

Always respect the car manufacturer’s instructions when changing brake fluid. Keep brake fluid clean and dry. Dirt, moisture, petroleum products and other materials can result in a defective braking system or costly repairs. Only store brake fluid in the original packaging, keeping the packaging clean and tightly closed to prevent water penetration.

Please note: Do not refill used brake fluid containers and do not use these containers for other fluids.
Dispose of used brake fluid responsibly (EU waste code 160113)
Brake fluid affects the paint, so immediately remove with plenty of water in the event of a spill.

* JLM DOT 4 brake fluid and clutch fluid is not suitable for vehicles with mineral fluid systems, such as Citroën. When changing the fluid, always refer to the manufacturer’s information for the specifications.

Frequently
asked
questions

These are the most common questions we get from a potential distributor.

Do any of the JLM additives help the performance of the high pressure diesel fuel pump?

J02330 Rapid is perfect for pump and injectors!

Is it OK to use the extreme and the DPF cleaner together. ?

No, this will not have a positive effect. In fact it may cause an adverse effect. And also the risk of overdosing! Never combine fuel additives

Will BluBoost dissolve existing crystal infestation or is it more like a preventative product?

JLM’s BluBoost additive cleans and prevents crystal formation in the AdBlue dosing system. It also conditions the AdBlue fluid for a longer time to ensure proper working of the AdBlue and SCR system. This helps prevent performance loss and the often-subsequent expensive repairs. It also reduces foaming at low temperatures

Is the JLM Engine Oil Flush safe for use with wet belt engines?

Our JLM OIL FLUSH is safe to use with ‘wet belts’ (TBIO). This is mainly because we use non solvent and premium pack of oil cleaning additives.

Does the Petrol Emissions Reduction Treatment also clean the catalytic converter?

The catalytic converter functions by converting harmful emission gases into less harmful gases. If the filter becomes contaminated with foreign matter – ie as a result of an oil leak, it will need to be replaced. No additive or chemical can remove physical oil contamination from the catalytic converter.
