Application Instructions

This product is intended for professional use only.

• Ensure the engine is at operating temperature.

• Shake the can before use.

• Disconnect the air intake hose at the throttle body or air intake manifold.

• Insert the application hose into the intake manifold or throttle body

IMPORTANT: Do not apply before turbo or intercooler. Do not use in vehicles where the intercooler is integrated into the inlet manifold.

• Set engine at ~1500 RPM.

• Spray JLM Intake Cleaner directly into the inlet manifold. Spray 10 times, in 1-2 second intervals (short sprays) allowing engine to stabilise between sprays.

• Allow engine to idle for ~3 minutes.

• Repeat the process until the can is empty.

• If excessive knocking or backfire occurs during the process, pause and allow the engine to idle until the knocking stops.

• After the application is complete, reconnect the air intake hose.

• Allow the engine to run for a few minutes to ensure the cleaner has fully circulated and burned off any residues.

• Flush and replace engine oil and oil filter.

• Test drive the vehicle to verify improved performance. Do not rev past 2500rpm for the first 10 minutes.

Frequently
asked
questions

These are the most common questions we get from a potential distributor.

Do any of the JLM additives help the performance of the high pressure diesel fuel pump?

J02330 Rapid is perfect for pump and injectors!

Is it OK to use the extreme and the DPF cleaner together. ?

No, this will not have a positive effect. In fact it may cause an adverse effect. And also the risk of overdosing! Never combine fuel additives

Will BluBoost dissolve existing crystal infestation or is it more like a preventative product?

JLM’s BluBoost additive cleans and prevents crystal formation in the AdBlue dosing system. It also conditions the AdBlue fluid for a longer time to ensure proper working of the AdBlue and SCR system. This helps prevent performance loss and the often-subsequent expensive repairs. It also reduces foaming at low temperatures

Is the JLM Engine Oil Flush safe for use with wet belt engines?

Our JLM OIL FLUSH is safe to use with ‘wet belts’ (TBIO). This is mainly because we use non solvent and premium pack of oil cleaning additives.

Does the Petrol Emissions Reduction Treatment also clean the catalytic converter?

The catalytic converter functions by converting harmful emission gases into less harmful gases. If the filter becomes contaminated with foreign matter – ie as a result of an oil leak, it will need to be replaced. No additive or chemical can remove physical oil contamination from the catalytic converter.
