Highly effective solution for removing stubborn deposits and restoring engine performance. Designed for diesel and petrol engines, this powerful cleaner tackles soot, rust, and dirt build-up in the air intake and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems, ensuring optimal engine function and improved driving experience.

Effective EGR & Air Intake System Cleaning
In diesel engines, deposits from soot accumulation, especially from low revs, eco-driving, or short trips, can clog the air intake and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems. Over time, this build-up restricts air supply to the engine, causing irregular engine performance, power loss, and even stalling. JLM EGR Cleaner effectively dissolves rust, dirt, and soot deposits, restoring airflow and optimising engine function.

Improves Engine Power & Acceleration
By cleaning the EGR system, intake valves, and the intake system, JLM EGR Cleaner ensures the engine receives the right air supply. This leads to improved engine power, smoother acceleration, and reduced exhaust smoke. Whether your engine is idling irregularly or cutting out spontaneously, this product resolves these issues by cleaning the components that control air intake and exhaust flow.

Stops Irregular Idling & Stalling
If you’ve noticed that your engine struggles to idle properly or stalls unexpectedly, it’s likely due to dirt and deposits affecting the intake and EGR systems. JLM EGR Cleaner restores regular engine operation by clearing away these obstructions, ensuring smoother idling and more responsive performance.

Prevents Performance Degradation from Short Trips and Low Revs
Frequent short journeys, eco-driving, and driving at low revs can lead to the accumulation of soot and dirt in diesel engines, clogging critical components. JLM EGR Cleaner helps to remove these build-ups, ensuring your engine runs efficiently even in stop-start driving conditions.

Simple Application for Lasting Results
Using JLM EGR Cleaner is easy. Simply apply it to the air intake and EGR systems, and let it dissolve the deposits. The cleaner is designed to restore airflow to the engine, improve combustion, and prevent further build-up, extending the lifespan of your engine components.

Restore Efficiency & Prevent Expensive Repairs
Regular use of JLM EGR Cleaner helps maintain engine efficiency, preventing issues like irregular idling, poor acceleration, and excessive emissions. By keeping the intake and EGR systems clean, you avoid costly repairs and ensure your diesel engine remains reliable and performs at its best.

  1. Ensure the engine is warmed up before starting the cleaning procedure.
  2. Detach the flexible hose in the air intake system based on the part you wish to clean:
    A) Between the turbocharger/intercooler and air intake manifold (for cleaning the air intake manifold and inlet valves).
    B) Before the turbocharger (for cleaning the air intake system before the turbocharger).
    C) Before the EGR valve (for cleaning the EGR valve).
  3. Important: Do not spray directly through the intercooler.
  4. Allow the engine to run at idle.
  5. Spray in short intervals of 1–2 seconds into the air intake manifold.
  6. After each spray, wait for the engine RPM to stabilise before spraying again.
  7. If the RPM drops, gently accelerate to approximately 2000 RPM to prevent stalling.
  8. If the RPM increases or diesel knocking occurs, keep the engine at idle and avoid accelerating.
  9. Tip: Use the additional extension tube for easier application, if needed.
  10. Continue spraying until half the aerosol has been used.
  11. Allow the engine to idle for 2 minutes.
  12. Turn off the engine and reattach the air intake hose.
  13. Start the engine and accelerate 5–10 times, without exceeding 2500 RPM. Alternatively, drive for 3–5 miles to help release carbon deposits.
  14. Let the engine idle for at least 1 minute before turning it off.

Warning
Do not spray liquids into the turbocharger or intercooler.
During application, the engine's RPM may fluctuate, and diesel knocking may occur due to changes in the air/fuel ratio.
